Datamount partners with Securado to offer ’Managed Detection & Response Services’

A profound partnership between a leading Cloud service provider, Datamount and a leading managed security services provider, Securado has led to the launch of a state-of-the-art Cybersecurity Solution. Known as the Adaptive Cloud Security Stack, this service, coupled with Managed Detection & Response (MDR) capabilities is available across varied domains in the Sultanate. This one-of-a-kind solution complements Artificial Intelligence, from their cyber security research wing X-Labs, with a touch of human element encompassing seasoned cybersecurity experts.

Adaptive Cloud Security Stack, with its tailored MDR services delivers a predominant solution by filling in gaps at the in-house Security Operations Centers (SOC), with a turnkey approach of solving threat detection challenges, which usually leaves an enterprise open to risks. The solution provides adequate controls and visibility spanning across cloud infrastructures and on-premise datacenters. With a team of security researchers specialized in threat detection, incident response and proactive threat hunting, X-Labs serves as the backbone of this solution, further strengthening MDR.

Mr. AbdulHakeem Amur Al-Muslahi, General Manager of Datamount, highlights that the average time across industries to detect a cybersecurity breach is close to 247 days. X-lab’s MDR services typically reduces this exorbitant timeline to just a few hours, thereby minimizing the impact of a security event, and furthermore, assisting in rapid response to mitigate and remediate cybersecurity threats. He adds, ‘this strategic alliance compliments Datamount’s cloud offering and accelerates the adoption of cloud-rendendered technologies & services.

Director’s of Securado, Mr. Krishnadas, Mr. Manoj and Mr. Dhinak evinces that the Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service has a very light footprint on the customer network. The combination of human analysts and technology to eliminate false positives, identify real security threats and develop real-time incident reports forms the fundamental uniqueness of this service, allowing customers to completely entrust their platforms into their safe hands.

Partnering with AGORA to bring Secure Trust Room Technology to Oman

We are excited to be working with AGORA to bring strong data protection and compliance with the Sultanate of Oman. Datamount has always aimed to continually expand and strengthen our service offerings, and Trust Rooms are a perfect fit for us.

– Abdul Hakeem Al-Muslahi, Deputy Chairman at Datamount

On the 11th of May this year, AGORA SecureWare announced an OEM partnership with Datamount – Jebel Akhdar Data Center, to bring Trust Room security and compliance to the Sultanate of Oman, bolstering Datamount’s existing enterprise managed services offerings with AGORA’s complimentary security and compliance technology. As part of the agreement, Datamount will be selling the AGORA SecureWare solution to the Omani market, under their own brand name, Datamount Trust Rooms. The Datamount Trust Room solution is hosted, operated, and governed by Datamount, keeping all data resident in Oman where required.

As a leader in enterprise cloud services, Datamount’s new Trust Rooms are encrypted digital rooms where files can be securely stored, edited, and collaborated in between various authenticated parties. Data securely stored within Trust Rooms are encrypted separately from the room itself, which employs industry standards-based encryption, authentication, access controls, audit and compliance technology, and methods. With Trust Rooms, businesses can organize tasks and meetings through their intuitive management system, helping users securely assign and track tasks, set meeting agendas, minutes, and even vote on agenda items, such as resolutions. The solution includes secure voice and video conferencing through the platform and Trust Rooms supports nine languages, including Arabic.

In addition to security, the platform also includes Compliance Modules helping organizations to keep track of sensitive data once uploaded into the Trust Rooms. Compliance Modules detect sensitive personal, financial, and healthcare-related content and scan them for sensitive information, placing identified documents into a curated and controlled compliance lifecycle that ensures security and data control. Compliance Modules are ideal for controlling Personally Identified Information (PII) and for organizations dealing with those regions that have strong data protection laws such as GDPR.
